CHURCH HOME: The Salvation Army St. Catharines

CAREER: Third generation Salvationist. 5 year Engineering apprenticeship, Power Jets Ltd., (Chief Engineer Squadron Leader Frank Whittle – Oxford thesis on the Jet engine and built world’s first Jet engine, maiden flight 1941 from RAF Cranwell) later joined the Bristol Aeroplane Co. transferring to Winnipeg in 1957. In 1962 joined Hawker Siddeley Orenda Division at Malton becoming Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Retired in 1984 (Orenda built engines for the Arrow, SnowBirds and Canadian Fighter Aircraft. Bristol built the SST Concorde.)
